Hook lighthouse is the oldest operational lighthouse in the world and one of Ireland’s favourite attractions, Our walk takes us around the peninsula and around the lighthouse where there is an option to take a guided tour. 
There are spectacular view from the lighthouse balcony overlooking the sea and peninsula.

The Cliff Walk

The cliff walk around the peninsula is an easy and relaxing walk. We explore Slade an old fishing village, the cliff formations and fossils embedded in the limestone and of course Hook lighthouse. 

Wild life off Hook

 The sea around Hook lighthouse is known as the graveyard of 1,000 ships and has an abundance of aquatic life making it mecca for scuba divers. During our walk there is an chance to spot dolphins, seals and even whales.

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Kilkenny city or from a predetermined meeting point. Travel to our starting point in Slade which normally takes one hour. 

We walk from Slade along the coast to Hook lighthouse  take in the scenery and explore the coastline. Then return to the vehicle and drive to New Ross for some light refreshments. 

We will then drop you back to your accommodation or meeting point.
